The police are still rioting, as
Greg Doucette likes to say. The link is to the current end of his police violence thread, which just keeps getting longer, and you should browse it. Particularly in the context of the last story in this list today, where a whistleblowing officer released video showing the murder of an arrestee by police.
The murderers are still on the force.
The whistleblower isn't an officer anymore.
There are no good cops, because the good cops get made not cops.

Last month twitter.com/AOC worked with KPOP agents via the app TikTok to sabotage the President's rally.
KPOP is foreign propaganda.
Why was AOC conspiring with Koreans such as Junkook and BTS (Big Time Socialists) to undermine our President?
TikTok is Chinese owned.
Kim Jong Un knew?

Conspiring with a foreign power to undermine an election is known as treason.
So why are the feckless hacks in Congress not subpoenaing twitter.com/AOC and her merry band of KPOP operatives to testify?
She ADMITTED to conspiring with KPOP agents on TikTok and no one bats an eye.

One million foreign students risk being frozen out of US colleges. Some might never come back
By Julia Hollingsworth, CNN
Updated 0729 GMT (1529 HKT) July 8, 2020
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/07/08/americas/international-student-visa-united-states-intl-hnk/index.html (CNN) In two months, 19-year-old Tianyu Fang is due to start his first semester at one of the most prestigious schools in America: Stanford University in California. Now, the Chinese national isn't sure if he'll make it.
Fang is one of the million or so international students who could be made to leave the United States if their universities switch to online-only learning, under a rule announced by Washington on Monday. Those who don't leave voluntarily face deportation.
Some universities have announced they will deliver all courses online due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has infected more than 2.9 million people and killed more than 130,000 in the US alone. Other universities are still planning to run classes on campus, but with the US outbreak still not under control, there's a risk that those institutions could go remote, too.
More than half of international students in the US come from Asia. In the 2018-2019 academic year, 370,000 students were from China, 202,000 from India, and 52,000 from South Korea.
For Fang, who has studied in the US since middle school but returned to Beijing earlier this year, Monday's announcement exacerbates an already complicated situation. To get around the US ban on travelers who have been in China in the past two weeks, he planned to fly from China to Cambodia. After 14 days, he would hopefully fly to the US.
Now, things are even harder. Currently, Stanford plans to stagger which students are on campus each semester to maintain social distancing. First year students will be on campus in the fall and summer terms -- meaning Fang will be studying remotely in one semester and will have to leave the US for that period.

Donald Trump doesn't care about any Americans - not even Republicans
Trump doesn't just hate Americans who didn't vote for him, he's spent months harming his most loyal backers

https://www.salon.com/2020/07/08/donald-trump-doesnt-care-about-any-americans--not-even-republicans/ Donald Trump thinks his voters are morons. This universal truth was once again demonstrated this week by a Facebook ad working Trump's new statue-oriented campaign strategy. The ad declared, "WE WILL PROTECT THIS" and featured a photo of ... no, not some racist-loser Confederate general astride a horse but "Cristo Redentor," the famous statue of Jesus Christ that sits atop Mount Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro, which, for those keeping track, is not in the United States but in Brazil, a sovereign nation in a different continent.
It's small story in the grand scheme of things, but one that illustrates yet again that Trump doesn't really see Republican voters or politicians as fellow travelers, allies or even really as a "base" to whom he owes fealty. Trump sees Republicans primarily as marks, to be fleeced for all they're worth and then abandoned the second he sees no value in them. Trump's burning hatred for any American who didn't vote for him is well documented, but just as true and just as disturbing is his utter disregard for the lives or well-being of people who did support him, and continue to do so.
Recent months have borne this out in remarkable ways, starting, of course, with the way that Trump's pressure on Republican governors to end coronavirus restrictions prematurely has led to exactly the consequences he was warned about: People in those states are getting sick at eye-popping rates. In Florida, where Trumpian Gov. Ron DeSantis has pushed hard to reopen no matter how many people die, ICUs are quickly filling up, with 56 reporting themselves at capacity and another 35 right on their heels. Texas, where Republican Gov. Greg Abbott has been similarly Trump-pleasing in his rush to reopen, is setting record highs for viral transmission, with upwards of 10,000 positive tests reported in a day.
Trump has been pushing the currently low rates of death as evidence that these rapidly climbing transmission numbers don't much matter, but in truth, death rates are a lagging indicator. There's every reason to believe that lower death rates are the result of the plunging transmission rates we saw several weeks ago, after months of lockdown, and that deaths will start to climb once again with so many people now getting sick.
But Trump and his propagandists are going full speed ahead, embracing coronavirus denialism and encouraging Trump supporters to return to church, reject mask-wearing and stop social distancing. He keeps encouraging his followers to attend campaign rallies unmasked, even though that's the easiest way to get coronavirus. It's almost as if Trump his followers to get sick and die. It's inarguable that he doesn't care if they do.

There's a bit of a scam here: We require 1-12 secular schooling, we allow churches to do that schooling cuz they're supposedly capable of performing this secular function, but then when it comes to whether the teachers have worker's rights suddenly it's RELIGIOUS education
[NEXT]
Combine this with the fact entire US states are trying to defund public schools and shunt kids to a voucher system with the specific goal of having the religious schools be the only option and something very sinister happens

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman retires, citing campaign of ‘bullying’ and ‘retaliation’ by Trump after impeachment testimony

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who served as a national security aide at the White House until earlier this year and was up for promotion to colonel, will leave the military instead, his attorney, David Pressman, said in a statement.
“Through a campaign of bullying, intimidation, and retaliation, the president of the United States attempted to force LTC Vindman to choose: Between adhering to the law or pleasing a President. Between honoring his oath or protecting his career. Between protecting his promotion or the promotion of his fellow soldiers,” Pressman said. “LTC Vindman’s patriotism has cost him his career.”
...
In a statement, Rep. Eliot L. Engel (D-N.Y.), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said he believed Trump and his allies would “privately cheer” Vindman’s retirement and cited alleged retaliation against the former White House aide.
“That’s how the President and his enablers regard public servants - in uniform or otherwise - who uphold their oaths to the constitution, rather than giving into the cult of personal loyalty that has rotted our government from the inside for the last three and a half years,” he said.

Joliet Police Sgt. Javier Esqueda, Who Blew Whistle On Death Of Eric Lurry In Police Custody, Stripped Of Police Powers
By Dave Savini

https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2020/07/07/joliet-police-sgt-who-blew-whistle-on-death-of-eric-lurry-in-police-custody-stripped-of-police-powers/ JOLIET, Ill. (CBS)- Joliet police Sgt. Javier Esqueda blew the whistle on the death of Eric Lurry in police custody, and now he has been stripped of his police powers and placed on administrative leave.
Meanwhile Tuesday evening, there were growing calls to fire the two officers involved in Lurry’s death, and sources said the Joliet City Manager has quit.
As CBS 2 Investigator Dave Savini reported, Sgt. Esqueda said he thought he could lose his badge over all this, and he did lose it.
Protesters marched around the Joliet Police Department demanding justice for Lurry and praising Sgt. Esqueda, who risked his job to expose what he calls wrongdoing by fellow cops.
In the crowd was Lurry’s cousin, Effie Lee.
“He’s supposed to tell. That’s what police officers are supposed to do. He’s supposed to lead by example, and he did,” Lee said. “He said he cried for days seeing my cousin treated like that.”
“Seeing that video was so disturbing, I cried,” Esqueda said last week. “Every day, having to live with that was a hard thing, knowing this administration was probably going to do nothing about it.”
Sgt. Esqueda who blew whistle on the existence of the Joliet police video of the alleged misconduct involved with Lurry’s arrest was stripped of his police powers Monday.
