If I may offer some advice - I caught that a few weeks ago, and all I needed to get rid of it was AVG anti-virus and Malwarebytes anti-malware - I'm not sure which one actually got rid of it, as I used both. You can download them both free and transfer them to your computer with a USB stick.
I have both of those as well but the virus wouldn't let me get on the internet so I restarted my computer. Now it won't let my get to my screen after I log in. Its just the Vista thing with a black background.
I could kick myself for not running a virus scan right then and there.
That's why the USB stick - I downloaded them on another computer, then I think I started up in safe mode, and ran them from the stick? Or something. Anyway, I hope it gets fixed somehow, it's a horrible virus.
It was the Malwarebytes that caught it. I tried to open it during safe mode but the virus had locked me out of it so I had to put it on my USB stick and reinstall it.
Why not just wipe the hard drive yourself? It's so easy it's not even funny. Oh and like anitabuchan said, a flash drive always comes in handy when you have a system so screwed up that it can't connect.

But, thanks to my mother, it's been fixed!
