I had the bizarrest nightmare

It has been a long long time since I had a nightmare, and this was quite literally the most frightening one I have ever experienced. I cannot fathom what brought it on, but it was absolutely terrifying.

That's one serious nightmare, almost like a night terror based on what you said at the end. Fortunately those only happen once in a blue moon, so you probably won't have anything like that again for a long time. I wish we could Tivo our dreams. I bet the imagery in that one was pretty amazing.

Tivo-ing our dreams would be really interesting. I had this one dream which completely defies the theory that we only dream in black and white. It was of a city in the middle of a sea of lava, only the lava was yellow and gold. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever "seen."

Oh yeah, that dreaming in black & white is total BS. I once dreamed about Spider-Man except his costume was yellow and green instead of red and blue. I drew it the next day because I thought it looked pretty cool (I was maybe 12).

When are you coming up to visit again? I promise you won't get food poisoning this time!

*hugs* I'm sorry, Jess. :(:( That sounds terrifying. Anything going on in your life right now that would cause such a dream?

Personally, I dream in color...

The only thing that I can think is that I am not nearly so close to God as I want to be right now. This seems a pretty violent way of reminding myself that I desperately need him. Whew . . .

But it got your attention, so maybe it served it's purpose...

I know when I'm not close to God, I have violent and terrifying dreams about the second coming. That I'm on the wrong side of the resurrection. If it takes something so intense to startle us, then maybe we're not paying good enough attention...
