Okay, I'm starting a new meme, and I'm going to be very upset if nobody duplicates it. So here goes.

My obscure interest is: Homebrew Computers
Homebrew Computers
Homebrew Computers can refer to any computer built from the chip level by one person. This isn't the same thing as homebuilt computers, which are done at the board level by slotting together off-the-shelf parts. To homebrew a computer, you usually start by picking a CPU to use. The most popular are the 6502 and Z80, although as time passes, a variety of more modern CPUs, like various ARM processors as well as custom CPUs in FPGAs, are becoming more common.
The most famous homebrew computer is likely the Apple 1. It was the computer that started the whole personal computing revolution that led to the days of computerization that most people take for granted now. It's not, however, the only one, and many people still persue this hobby actively to this day.
