Funny how fandom works. In combination with the ideas that other people have, we can reach completely new levels of 'depravity' that wouldn't be unattainable otherwise... I guess it wouldn't be as enjoyable if it didn't work that way. :D

Tell me about it. ;) Which is why I love fandom. :D

As for this video? Whoa. You always blow me away with your works. And YT, don't get me started on them. Or, well, WMG or Sony Music or whichever company is out there being vigilantes. You wouldn't believe how many new artists I've learned about because of fanvids. Which in turn makes me a fan, makes me buy their CD's/songs. Making the record companies richer. Gah.

Large corporations are sadly behind time. :( They're still somewhere in the prehistoric era, trying to hunt down mammoths with crude weaponry. Highly inefficient, if you ask me. XD

Someone with more marketing sense has done this:

So you've been 'fandomized' too? (I've seen you've come back after thinking of quitting. :D) Ah, the allure of so many crazy girls and boys at one place...

BTW, glad you like the vids!

Okay, now I want to go and Photoshop WMG's/or whoever president holding a huge weapon from medieval times hunting down mammoths (us). Buauahahaha. Oh man, the image.

I always knew Monty Python were awesome chaps, even if I technically, have never watched their skits.

I have. Lol. I think I've read everything there IS to read in fandom, heard everything there is to hear. Seen...a lot. My horizons have been...very expanded, let me tell you. Nothing surprises me now. *is an old jaded (not really) fandom whore*

I never really quit, although I did go under the radar for a bit after the whole LJ strike through crap. Although, under the radar on LJ. I was all over the place on IJ. Now I'm all over the place everywhere. *is SUCH a whore* LOL.

Hehe, if you ever do a photoshop version of it, I WANT TO SEE IT! *evil glee*

How does it feel to have the horizons very expanded? I'm far from being there yet. XD And far from being all over the place, sigh. I think I kind of envy you, lol.

I may do it! And then I will of course have to make another one where the fans are, well, use your imagination? LOL. Revengggeeeee! Anyway.

It feels...surprisingly okay to have them expanded. *gloats* *not really, lol*

Oh, you'll get there. With the way this fandom in particular is expanding, you'll get there very soon. I come from a fandom where everything is go, and I mean, EVERYTHING. Lol.

I envy you, actually! You still get to discover new and shiny things! Which is always fun! Even if a bit daunting and at times kind of...odd and weird and wtf? Lol.

Then we'd have to make jumbo posters out of the photoshopped images and put them all over the place - so they'd get a reminder of what kind of epic simpletons they are. That would go nicely toward revenge. ;)

So you say I should enjoy the process of discovering this strange, unfathomable LJ land? Before I become old and weary?

Vivid imagination = good!
I know nothing of LJ pre-December, so I guess I'm lucky I have no idea what kind of (doom?) booms there were. What kind of booms?

To cut a story short, LJ went on a huge deleting spree in 2007. Most of this was targeted at the Harry Potter fandom. It started where they suspended two really REALLY well known artists in the fandom and then it just went on and on, until fen from many fandoms, not only HP, well, revolted? Lol. And yeah, most fen moved to Insanejournal after this, but I am seeing them coming back in small groups now that LJ has gotten its act together.
