[Reserved] Naminé [2/?] pallidmemory September 12 2009, 01:31:13 UTC
HISTORY:

Naminé was ‘born’ at fourteen years of age when Kairi’s heart left her body. Naminé awoke in Castle Oblivion with no memory of her past life. She was quickly discovered by Organization XIII, and once they found out what she could do, she was taken captive to be used in a plan to control the Keyblade Master, Sora.

When Sora came to Castle Oblivion, Naminé began manipulating his memories, along with the memories of his companions Donald and Goofy. Her most extensive work, however, was on Sora’s memories. She began to slowly place herself into his memories, taking the position of a childhood friend. As Sora progressed through the floors of Castle Oblivion, Naminé changed more and more of his memories, eventually editing out his real friend, Kairi (who was Naminé’s Somebody) and replacing Kairi with herself.

While Sora was travelling through Castle Oblivion, he encountered a replica of his friend Riku several times. The replica had been created with its own memories, but Naminé had been forced by her captors to replace them with fabricated ones, very similar to the ones she’d given Sora.

The plan to control Sora using Naminé was enforced by Organization members VIII, XI, and XII, Namely; Axel, Marluxia, and Larxene. Number IV, Vexen, was the one that created the replica Riku, but seemed to have separate goals; his contribution seemed to have been outside of the plans of the other members. Marluxia and Larxene regularly intimidated Naminé, keeping her rather securely under their metaphorical thumb. Or they did, for a time. When the other members were out, Axel let Naminé for reasons of his own.

Meanwhile, Sora reached the floor of Castle Oblivion that had been made to look like Destiny Islands. There, he found a memory version of Naminé who hinted that she wasn’t the one that really belonged in his memories. After leaving that floor, Sora met the real Naminé. She began to confess what had happened, but the replica Riku appeared, and he and Sora fought. The replica gained the upper hand, and looked like he was about to finish Sora off, but Naminé stopped him - by, quite literally, breaking his heart. The replica ceased to function, upsetting Sora, who thought it was the real Riku. Larxene came in, tauntingly explaining the situation with the replica before going on to tell Sora what Naminé had done to his memories. Larxene was about to attack an already tired out Sora, but Naminé got in her way. Larxene smacked her aside anyway, but Naminé had delayed the older woman long enough for Donald and Goofy to arrive to help Sora.
