At age sixteen, Allen Walker joins their ranks. His arrival became the catalyst of a series of events that slowly brought the Exorcists closer to the core of the war: the Millenium Earl, father of AKUMA. After Rewinding Town, where she and Allen met the Noah Road, she was placed on the team to find the missing General Cross. Together with Allen, Rabi, and Bookman--and along the way, Aleistar Crowley--this mission took her through China and onward to Japan by ship. (Note: without Allen; he was assaulted by a Noah and was taken in by the Asia Branch. They could not wait for him.)
During the voyage, a mob of AKUMA headed by a Level 3 called Eshi attacked them. Linali defeats Eshi, but at the price of her long hair and locomotive competence. Handicapped, she has to be dragged halfway into Edo until she is reunited with the others--as in, not only Allen, but also Kanda and the rest of General Tiedoll's team. Ranks fortified, they were better prepared to face the Noahs personally in their Ark, into which Linali fell into and pulled four of her friends in with her. A dimension riddled with doors and rooms, it turned into a kind of tournament with Exorcists separating to face Noahs individually, letting the others advance ahead. Time ticked by and rooms crumbled; Linali was losing faith and nearly panicked, thinking she was losing pieces of her world, but Allen brings her around and grounds her. When she and the remainder of the team reached Tyki and Road in a ballroom, the fight almost turns one-sided; that is, until Cross appeared. He revealed that he was there to obtain the egg, the component that birthed AKUMA. Racing against time, there was only one way to survive, and that was stealing the Ark. Allen managed to do this, and everyone was saved.
Returning to HQ, Linali and her Innocence were soon examined. Hevlaska's verdict was that, similar to how AKUMA fed on sorrow and evolved, the Innocence was evolving too. Then, the next time she synchronized, she'd have to be "prepared." That same night, headquarters was ambushed by the Noah Lulubell and a legion of AKUMA. In the fray emerged the ultimate terror: Level 4. Evacuation became the only option, and the tower turned into a tumult of trepidation. Although Linali was locked in the infirmary on her brother's command, Inspector Leverrier hauled her out with an argument she couldn't deny. ("Are you an Exorcist or not?" -- "No matter what, you cannot escape [this duty]." ) After reaching the bottom floor where Hevlaska was, everything became a blur, but what she did remember clearly was the form of a headless angel made of her blood bowing to her. The Innocence accepted her pledge, and she was soon able to turn the tides of the battle with her evolved weapon.

Aside from the heavy injuries inflicted by the enemy, the result of the mission was the acquiry of one more Innocence and the recruiting of a new Exorcist, Miranda Lott.
