[So... back to-- some form of normal. Though he's not sure what to expect this time. Strange things always seemed to be happening. Why it was happening again was a good question.

The previous few weeks...

They'd been strange. Stranger than usual.

Cutting through the park was just a much faster way to get back to where Leon was currently staying. He didn't have much need or want to see much of anyone right now-- if any of them were still alive... It was difficult to say just yet.]

[Of course he should have known there are people here. It's an open city. Not exactly free, but open.

The scent of the person walking around is familiar though. And he can tell by the sounds of his footsteps that he will pass by soon enough. "Kamui" turns around, a greeting ready.

Because it'd be just rude not to give out a greeting when meeting an acquaintance.]

Le--

[And trust his body to suddenly start reacting to... something. An itching at his back Not exactly an itching, but more of a sharp, irritating pain. He frowns, biting off his greeting to look over his shoulder. Human bodies aren't really made to be looking at their own backs, but it doesn't stop them from trying.]

Kamui...

[The very last-- the last person he wanted to see right now. "Kamui", at least, seems more... lively this time.

Not falling apart. Not... blue-ish.

And with-- he didn't... how did-- Right. Focus. Just. Focus.

Nevermind the odd reaction. Not that he was particularly aware that it was his fault for the sudden pain "Kamui" was in.]

[There's only one thing he can do right now, what with his back feeling like something is about to burst right out of it.]

Excuse me.

["Kamui" drops to one knee just to support himself and-- well, it's suddenly very breezy and cool. It must be the wings that are suddenly up close and personal, all over his face, fluttering a little and kicking up a few gusts along the ground.

Messy, too, scattering white feathers everywhere.

Right then and there, he knows that they are his own wings, on his own back, attached to his own body. He can feel them the same way he can feel his other limbs, feeling as natural as if they have been there from the start.

Just... they didn't have to rip right through his clothes.]

What are y--

[It stops just short.

Leon's a little torn between moving to help him, or to stagger back, surprise catching hold of him, stance shift-- arms half-way up as if to protect himself.

You never know what might happen.

Point made: "Kamui" and his wings. Oddly... pretty, in a way. At least it's nothing like the black and terribly thing Cloud, the Cloud he knows, carriers around, hidden away.]

(What in the world...?)

Hey-- you... alright?

[It feels like those dreams the dreamgazers know and see. Pure white, feathered wings on his back, while Kamui, the real Kamui, has black, leathery ones, to show their differences, and yet at the same time tell the story between them. That long convoluted and yet simple story.

In a way, those dreams have come true. Strange, seeing as those wings and all the rest of them are usually just simply for added dramatic effect, and the true importance of those dreams are right between the lines.

"Kamui" cant deny that they look good though.

But, a question. Just how did he manage to grow wings?]

I'm fine.

[Leon resists an 'are you sure?' that wants to crop up, and simply leaves it be. He doesn't really know anything about dreamgazers or the symbolism.

Just a lingering sense of uneasiness. A snarl of... some very confusing things.

A soft shake of the head.]

Sure... [Who was he to argue?]

[A soft sigh as he got up off his knees and removed his ripped clothing. Too bad, he favored that shirt.

What a pain.]

I'm sorry you had to see me like this.

[It's only the polite thing to say, right? Just because he suddenly up and grew wings right in front of a man and completely startled him.]

(What does he have to apologize for?)

[There's another shrug. Leon isn't quite sure what to do about it; there were things he knew, maybe, possibly, if "Kamui" were anyone else, that he might have... something explain?

To say? Was he even obligated?

In the end, his lips press into a line (not so much of annoyance this time) for a moment or two.]

Not you fault, I'm sure.

Hmm, maybe you're right. It's not really everyday you would grow wings, and not exactly on purpose. ['In the physical world', he doesn't add. Not that people really need to know.

"Kamui" runs his hand along one wing, feeling how the primary feathers overlap the secondary ones, how his wings are jointed and bent almost like a human arm, and just how accurate and in-line these things were to those dreams of Kakyou and that woman.

Really, it's funny how things are. Out of the blue, he's contracted a curse-- but it's not a horrible one, not like the ones that have come before. This one is tolerable, as long as he can keep these things in good shape.

Briefly, very briefly, he wonders just what will happen if he tries to spread them and fly. He doesn't know what kind of flight they're built for, and if they can even carry him, but... he really doesn't want to risk that. Adventurous, yes, but he's not stupid.]
