characters: Open to anyone~ location: In the streets time: Mid Day rating: PG, but could change. It's an open log of course. open/closed: Open summary: Vanille wakes up in Solace
Slowly, but surely, Hope was starting to get used to this city. Well, sorta anyway. Having Light around was definitely a plus to being in this place alone but his mind couldn't stop filtering back to his other companions back home. Lost in thoughts, it clear he really isn't paying to much attention to his surroundings.
So much so he barely manages to miss running right into Vanille, "So-sorry, You're no--" He can't help cutting himself off as soon as he notices just who it is that he's speaking to breaking into a smile. "Vanille!"
"Hope!" she says whirling around to face him. "But..." she was more confused now than ever. This definitely didn't seem like Gran Pulse, and it didn't seem like Cocoon either, and Hope was here too? Vanille felt more strongly that Fang must be here somewhere then too.
Hope had one of the new collars too. He didn't have one before. "Is this... Do you know where this is? Have you seen anyone else?" She prayed that he did know where this was, and she hoped he had seen the others.
He sighs, so very glad to see someone else he knew. There's a moment where Hope pauses following her questions, trying to properly form what he wanted to say that hopefully not be to confusing. "Apparently this place is called Solace, I can't really tell you much though because I've only been here... about two days now." And what a long two days those had been.
"But yeah! Light is here, beyond that though... I haven't seen anybody else."
Hm... she thought to herself, that's at least three of them
"Solace, huh? Well..." Vanille had never really thought of the possibility of worlds outside of Gran Pulse and Cocoon. Maybe a spiritual world, but this? This didn't seem much like an afterlife. But then again she hadn't seen anyone else, just Hope.
"So it isn't Gran Pulse or Cocoon, and these collars..." she said tugging at her own. She started pulling at it, and feeling for mechanical parts to unlatch.
"Yeah. And it seems to be even more than that, well, if the other foreigners in this city mean anything." Hope says in a thoughtful manner, he too had never thought of anything out there--other worlds beyond the ones he knew.
His attention is brought back to Vanille at the weird sounds, blinking as he watches, reaching up to tug at his scarf and expose his own collar a little more. Noticing that there wasn't much difference--if any between them, all expect the fact that Vanille had a different symbol from him. "Someone told me that it isn't good if the soldiers in this city catch you without one on."
"Guards?" she said in surprise. So this was that sort of city. She decided to stop messing with the collar for now. Her main goal now was to find Fang. If taking off the collar was going to get her in trouble with the guards she didn't want to do that just yet. She wasn't really interested in fighting if she didn't have to.
"So what have you done here? You said two days... Where do you sleep?" She tried to imagine Hope camping out in a city, and smiled to herself in amusement.
"Try and figure some things, like just what this place is all about..." He answers, rather glad that she had stopped messing with the collar. Though he really didn't want it on himself, he too didn't want any unneeded things happening because he decided to remove it.
"There's an inn around here, called Rosewall. It's pretty nice, a lot better than having to sleep in an alleyway."
"Oh, good! Well, I suppose I'll check that out soon." She paused in thought for a moment. "Let's go find Lightening first. OK?" she said shockingly cheerfully for her situation, or maybe not so shockingly for Hope. She did happily drag him into the chamber of a Fal'ci once.
So much so he barely manages to miss running right into Vanille, "So-sorry, You're no--" He can't help cutting himself off as soon as he notices just who it is that he's speaking to breaking into a smile. "Vanille!"
