[ the delay wasn't entirely his fault. He wasn't the one who randomly decided to transform into some black scale-y creature while in a cramped air duct aboard the ship. Not his fault. It took this long just to get enough control over the shadows to shift back to his regular form, although he couldn't quite get that tail to disappear. But it had a pink bow on it, and it was cute, so it wasn't a pressing matter.
What was a pressing matter was that he'd promised his princess a visit and he was terribly late. All the more reason he had to borrow the Captain here, and with a bit of persuasion via sharp blades pressing ever so insistently against the Captain's throat, they were able to swiftly make their way to the Commander's quarters. He waited silently behind the man, admittedly a bit eager to greet the Commander once again. Their last meeting had been cut short, after all. ]
Ah, Captain Knox. Just in time. [ Cassian's presently buried under reports and such to send home, and he'd be more than happy to shoulder it all off on Aaron as long as Aaron's around. He has no idea what's lurking on the other side of that door, and if he did he'd be extremely displeased. It's unsightly for a Captain of Aaron's service record and caliber to fall victim to such an embarrassing ploy, after all. And he was hoping for his reunion with Isen to be on better terms. Dammit. Fuck these papers. Aaron definitely gets to do them by the time this is over, because Cassian's going to go get so plastered that he has more alcohol in his veins than blood. ]
