First, you know how NASA crashed those crafts into the moon about a month ago to investigate for water? Well, it looks like they found the evidence they were looking for. A lot more water than they had even hoped to find. Water on the mooooooooooon!

Is that really Peter Slash Walter? Because that's sort of over my line, if so.

No, just about their canon relationship. Sorry, maybe I should change that. I always use the / to mean any sort of relationship.

Added ETA: Out of curiosity, does everyone now use the "/" between names only when it connotates a sexually-tinged relationship? I'd always used it as shorthand to describe something that is about the relationship (*any* sort of relationship) between those 2 characters. I'll try to stop doing that if it confuses or misleads people.

So, do you only do character/character when you mean sexual? What about something that is about a friendship or partnership?

Since I spend so much time in SPN, I definitely use & instead of /.

Such a cutie! I adore that silly boy!!! :P

Ehh... I usually think of it as a romantic pairing unless it says, like, John/Rodney (friendship). But that is just me...

That seems to be what most people think as well. Hmmm, I suppose I should conform to character-listing standards so as not to squick people out again with Peter/Walter (lol). But then again, I'm very lazy and judging whether a vid might have sexual undertones seems awfully subjective. Plus there's that lazy thing.

Anyone who is adorkable enough to make a sign language video about zombies is my kind of dude.

Peter and Walter are the best parts of Fringe! I'm rather apathetic about the show in general - it tends to be the very last thing lingering on the DVR every weekend, but Walter is amusing and I REALLY wish we had someone to slash Peter with, because I am rather fond of him and would be much more invested in the show if I had that to focus on. (I am shallow like that!)

(and yeah, the ____/_____ generally means "sexually tinged" to me too. And I'm SO not wanting to go there in Fringe)

Moon Water! YAY! Also, NASA seems absurdly bad at predicting stuff! NASA's never "we found pretty much exactly what we expected, and nothing went wrong or crashed, and we did a lot of math correctly!"

you get a Frank Iero icon, as I have nothing relevant to these interests and I'm "subtly" trying entice you into MCR fandom

I love that you just admit that. It is so true. I try to pretend it's not, but nope. Slash-potential ups my interest in a show by at least 30%.

Aw, NASA's doing it's best. Why you gotta be down on NASA? It just wants to live its life! Geez!

(I don't even listen to MCR! But then again, I didn't listen to Kris Allen or Adam Lambert. DAMMIT.)

I tend to used it for any relationship, but sometimes I use an ampersand instead of a slash to make sure no one will take it the other way.

though I also tend to use a slash when I'm talking about the same character... erm, or body? With two or more names (like Niki/Jessica in s1 of Heroes).

I usually use a - there, like Niki-Jessica.

I'm glad someone else tends to use the / for any relationship.

the problem with using a hyphen, some characters' names are hyphenated, so it can add to the confusion. I've seen Niki|Jessica separated like that before as well.

I've always used "/" as denoting a romantic and/or sexual relationship. (Except in the context of Yuletide, where it's specifically stated as just being a separator between character names.) If I want to be sure that people don't read a certain character grouping as a pairing, I always use an "and" between the names, as the other day when I mentioned making an Al-and-Naj vid (as opposed to an Al/Naj vid, which would be pretty creepy, considering how the footage doesn't allow for future!fic).
