I think it's kind of a flaw that only Castiel seems to have trouble with the concept of humanity. It would make more sense if someone made it explicit that Castiel was young and unused to taking human form, but we were originally told the opposite - i.e., that he was Uriel's superior, at least.
I LOVED Dean in this. He was so into his new, tidy, mundane life. Awww. Sam seemed to hate it from the beginning, but I think part of Dean (the part that thinks mowing lawns is fun) might have secretly loved it.
LOVED the moment they switched from the shiny "fake" world back to the gritty gray SPN world.
(And they gave us a canon slashy AU! LOVE)
