Another show down!
This is officially Prison Break's last season. No more after this spring's finale. Oh Show, I only just found you. (Is it me or do many long-running shows seem to be ending lately?) I only jumped into the fandom in the second half of 2008, but it's already been so much fun. I can't really believe how much fun it's been. (Seriously, I used to make fun of this show a lot. "How many seasons does it take to break out??") Despite my crazy love, I think I'm ok with it ending. Now season 5 can forever in my mind be in space! I just hope my favorite characters make it through to the end alive and not as finale collateral damage. I'm looking at you, Alex and Sucre. OH SHOW, I'LL MISS YOU!
Which leads me to this possible spin-off being bandied about which would be The Most Awesome Spin-Off Ever Created. Well, for me anyway. In the last aired episode, Gretchen was left to be arrested and sent to prison. And so...Gretchen has to escape and/or be badass in prison. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN. It's not just in my mind! I've seen it referenced in articles! A Gretchen spin-off in a women's prison. Um, hell yes. Now, I'm already cringing at the exploitatively sexy lesbian Women Behind Bars aspect that's bound to pop up. But I think Gretchen's inherent awesomeness cancels out any possible negative. Plus, obviously we'd get a ton of female characters. Which is always of the good. *crosses fingers*
More Gretchen on my tv. There is no bad here. Now I want T-Bag to survive the finale solely so that they can be prison pen pals.
