Angel & Lost vid recs
I downloaded these videos a while ago, but just got around to watching them. I do that a lot. I have over 40GB of videos saved on an external harddrive, most of which I haven't seen. (And most of which are probably crap. Not trying to be mean, that's how it is with anything. You have to sort through the crap to find the good stuff.) I keep thinking I'll get to them later, but I never do. Hence the 40 GB.
Anyway, the first one I want to rec is an Angel vid, "Counting Bodies" by millylicious. This just blew me away. The timing, editing, music (A Perfect Circle is one of my favorite bands), & sense of subject are all great. But what really made it stand out is the use of color within a stark black & white video. It actually reminded me a lot of Sin City, which is one of the few movies I'm actually looking forward to. As for subject matter, it's about Connor & Angel (and Darla as well), from conception through to season 5. It can be downloaded here:

Another great video I recently saw is about Lost: "They" by s1ghren, which can be found on LJ here or here. It's an ensemble video & includes almost every character. That island is full of fucked up people. The song is great for this show because it's got this whimsical, yet somehow eerie, quality to it--like some maniacal circus or something. If that makes any sense. Awesome. Thank god there's a new episode this week. Finally.
