Pregnancy during initiation

Here's an interesting yet controversial topic that has made its way to the goldendawnmeetingplace forum. Now, usually our controversial topics involve pelting other orders with watermelons and such, but this is an interesting turn in which people are actually arguing about something other than wars between rival GD orders.

Should a pregnant woman undergo initiation or not? Why or why not?

I personally believe that it is up to the Will of the mother-to-be, and that this argument is very similar in nature to the abortion debate: does a fetus have a soul or freewill? It is my belief that a fetus does not gain a soul until birth, and that the nature of initiations are such that the only precautions I would be concerned with would be that of any other candidate: have people trained in handling medical emergencies in the event that she should pass out or have some physical trouble. Otherwise, I don't see the problem. However, there are those who disagree with this position on the forum and say that they will flat out refuse to initiate a pregnant woman for fear of damaging the fetus or mother somehow.
