The Wren - A Thinkout
This is me thinking out a villian. Comments welcome.
The Wren
Located in an Unknown location. Possibly another galaxy with the capabilities to travel between galaxies. Possibly the other side of the Pegasus galaxy.
When they come across an inhabited planet, they release a virius preceding their arrival to that causes mass casualities to both Human and Wraith life. This virius is quicker and more fatal then the Ori plague, however it has one weakness. Apparently those with the ATA gene appear immune. Those who have it naturally never get it, and those who have it through the therapy take longer to catch it.
No one has actually seen them, but rumors are they are a bird like race.
They are led by a Matriarch. There are Five matriarchs, each governing a set of ships. There is a Crone Matriarch, who is the eldest of the five matriarchs when the previous Crone dies. They oversee the whole species.
While general population females have one mate, the Matriarchs have two. One is ceremonial and the other for producing children. Or at least that is what is assumed from what little intel there is.
