Possible Nano Contender -SGA/Gilmore Girls crossover
John was born John Gilmore. When he was fourteen his sister Lorelai (two years older) gave birth to Rory and left the house. John and Richard afterwards were often fighting, mostly about John's post-high school plans. Emily didn't approve of his girlfriend Dora, and the fights got worse when Dora and John eloped during thier senior year. Dora tried to bring the family back together, which eventually caused her and John to break-up. John divorces Dora and after he graduates High school he decides to leave home. He only informs his sister Lorelai of his intentions but he doesn't even inform her that he's changing his last name to his mother's maidan name and joining the airforce.
Years later, after reuniting with Dora and seeing Rodney and his sister reunite and get a second chance at having a relationship, he begins to wonder about his own family. Dora reluctantly gives him Lorelai's number and he gets in contact with his sister and along with Dora and Rodney he goes to Stars Hollow to reunite with her and later perhaps his parents.
Will feature Luke/Lorelai, Rory/Logan and John/Dora. Rodney/Elizabeth maybe. It will take place mainly post Series Finale for GG and possibly AU season 4 for SGA. Not sure. There will be parts that will be pre-show for both.
There is an alternate option of dropping Dora as she's a OC and possibly finding a friend of Rory's have clearance or something. Or having the program becoming public and Logan and Rory covering Atlantis to give the public an idea of what has been going on. Not sure. Oooo...or a Gouald was rumored to be hanging out in the area and for some odd reason John and Rodney get the job.
Questions I need to answer:
1. Do they actually mention Emily's maidan name in the renewal cermony? because if they do, I'll have to choose another source for Sheppard. Because we know it can't come from Richard's side of the family.
2. If I do the alt version, why would these people have the clearance/be choosen to cover this? Or why they would be choosen to investigate.
3. Why would John have the time to get to Stars Hollow?
