A short scene for the new revised chapter 1 of Trails. This has Alexia, Sirius, and Remus in it with a mentioning of Rose and a few other familiar faces.
Alexia Greene sat on her desk, veiwing the room. She needed to get it prepared for classes tomorrow, and she had been working on it in the few hours since the Great Feast. But there was still something missing. Tapping her wand on face, she thought. And nearly jumpped when fur brushed along her legs. Realising it was only a large black dog, she tried to catch her breath.
"Sirius." The dog suddenly transformed back into a human being who was laughing. She glared at him.
"I honestly did mean to scare you. You were lost in thought."
"I'm trying to design my room. And you could have just said you were there." Sirius smiled and paced his arms on either side of her knees.
"One of these days, I'm going to have to teach you how to become an animagus. I'd think you like it."
"Why do you think that?" She tried not to be bothered by his closeness. He had been doing that alot lately. Never going to far, but just enough to make her feel uncomfortable. Had been this way since fourth year when she realised she had a crush on him. Every time he got closer then a foot her insides would go all quirky. He never seemed to notice. But then back then he had been with Rose, and later on he had been just out of Azkaban with Harry his primary concern along with Raina. But since he had moved in with her and Raina he had been doing the closeness thing alot more then before. ANd he always give her this half smile as if he knew what she was thinking when he did that.
She doubted that. The Man was oblivious to her affection for him other then friends.
"I think you'd like the freedom it sometimes gives." He paused, turning his head back in forth as if he was checking her out for something.
"What?" she brought her hands up to her face to see if she had an ink smear from the quill. Sirius was about to respond when Remus walked into the room. Startled they both drew back. Sirius stayed for only a few more minutes before admiting he had a meeting with Dumbledore then he was off to investigate a case. Dumbledore had him as a personal auror, along with Nymphadora Tonks and Bill Weasley who had recently took on the position.
"Did I interupt something?" Remus asked with a grin after Sirius left.
"No, we were just talking." SHe was sure she was blushing by now.
"Ah, so that's what that was."
"Oh, shut up," she responded good naturedly. Remus had always known about her feelings for Sirius and constantly teased her about them.
