I'm Stuck on "Stuck"
Well, as the subject states, I'm stuck.
Here is the problem. I want to show how the four people in question in this fic are coping with the situation. Liz and Rodney are stuck in a 10ft. limit of space and John and Helena are stuck working together even though they have "history".
So what is the problem?
Mainly what happens to John and Helena when they wake up. I left the last chapter as them going to get the Ero drug. Now I can make this scene a panic scene or one that is on the smutty side (not smut as I can. not. write. smut.) And I have no idea. So here is what I have...Now tell me if this in character for John. I may just scrap this and rewrite the whole scene
There was something to be said about waking up in the morning with the clear idea that something had just screwed up in your life and having the following ten minutes in discovering exactly what that screw-up was.
It was not a pleasant experience. He had woken up, knowing something was wrong simply by the position he was sleeping on his bed. Against the left side. Normally, he would be in the middle, trying to take up as much room as possible. This obviously meant that someone else was in the bed with him.
And considering that the only person that had been with him last night had been Helena it wasn’t hard to guess that somehow (though he forgot) he had managed to get her to give up on the couch idea. However that did not explain his presence in the bed as he was supposing himself to sleep on the couch.
He turned his head slightly, feeling a pounding headache coming on to see Helena on the other side, not facing him. He slowly got off the bed, hoping that by the time she awoke, he could make it seem like he was never there. That is if she had the same memory block as he did.
He quickly dressed (which led to another very scary thought) and stood near the window to think over what had happened the night before.
