Romantic conculsions

Ok, I was thinking about this while I was reading a fanfic.  It seems to me that more often then not the girl figures out she's in love before the guy does.  Does anyone else get this impression?  I could be wrong but it just seems that way.   Perhaps this is why I like stories where the guy figures it out first.  Don't know.
