The Moebius-like Plot Bunny
Basically the premise of the Plot Bunny is that it is in an Alternate universe where the Stargate has not been used. It has been found recently and the USAF are gathering a group of scientist to lead the expedition to find out how it works and actually use it. They know it's a worm hole generater and that it will take them to other planets (thanks to a lovely "Guide to the Stargate But not enough to tell you anything" tablet lef t with the gate).
Rodney is a teacher at Colorado University and He is the one they are asking to lead the team.. He teaches Astrophysics. He was formerlly involved with Dr. Samantha Carter but that ended several years ago and she is now marred to a retired AF colonel and lives in Yuma Arizonia with him and his son. (Guess who).
He (Rodney) has a teacher's assistant named Theodora (Theo) Preston who is working on her doctorate in Engineering, but has taken astrophysics as a minor (I don't know why...). She is twenty-five and lives in a campus apartment with her good friend Aiden Ford. He's working on his degree in (They go out and name things scientifically:)).
Radek Zelenka is the cheif Engineer at a Prague Research Company. He is a contact of Rodney's and one who he wants on his team.
Peter Grodin is a techniction in London whom Rodney has worked with in the Past.
Elizabeth Weir is a professor of Political and Diplomatic Theory at Georgetown University. She is the reluctant member of the team and only there because a friend asked her to (and not Rodney).
I'm not sure how to get Teyla or John into the story yet. Teyla I may just forgo since she wasn't on earth. John I'm going to use because I want Rodney, Radek, John, Elizabeth & Theo to be the main characters. Aiden and Peter are because I love them:) I'm not going to use Kavanagh, or Simpson in this fic but I guess people can assume they are in a lower level of the team.
Anyway, thats all I can think of at the moment. As time goes by I will build on it. Comments welcome:)
