damn, it's been a while since my last post. Too bad I'm tired to write anything worth reading.
Well, I guess that whole teaching intelligent design in Pennsylvania thing is pissing me off. I think it's pretty funny how people that don't understand some aspect of science can say "hey, we don't believe that so you must teach the thing we believe instead." I know I've already touched on this... but it's so rediculous. It would be like if I said I didn't believe in microbiology and they should teach the theory of warm fuzzies and cold pricklies as an alternative to the theory that bacteria cause sickness... or something like that. I mean, it's totally rediculous. ...Or how about this one... I don't believe in the first law of thermodynamics, cause afterall it's only a scientific theory, not "fact", and I think they should teach the alternative theory that matter and/or energy can be created or destroyed. I mean, has anyone ever proven you can't create matter? Doesn't god create matter? you can't prove god doesn't exist therefore it's a valid theory...
sheesh... I'm glad I don't live in PA. I would get into so many arguments. No offense to anyone by the way. I'm not bashing God, I'm bashing people that don't realize you can't call hypotheses that can't be experimentally tested "scientific theories." These people would all have flunked out of basic science class yet they are shapping the science curriculum for our children? WTF??
