people these days..
so Kristina and I were having a heart to heart talk about life...and people...and we decided that people need to grow up. I honestly don't get how people can think they are better than others solely based on "popularity." Well, let me tell you...popularity doesn't matter one bit in the real world. The same people who are talking about others and starting fights will be doing it for the rest of their lives. You just wait. At our 20 year reunion or whatever one near that...the most successful people will be the ones who never cared about what people thought. It'll be the same people that our high school society considers to be "weird" or "band geeks" just because they don't give a damn about all the shit and drama that goes around. It makes me laugh to see what happens in our school. WHY DO PEOPLES' OPINIONS MATTER? Why does it matter who you hang out with? Or whether or not you go to parties and get "totally smashed" or whether or not you wear Abercrombie and Fitch clothes or are really tan and decide you want cancer and wrinkly skin in a matter of MONTHS. (ok maybe not months, but you get the point) What I'm saying is that it doesan't matter ONE bit. Nothing does. I mean, I'm not gonna lie...I own AF clothes...I care what people think, but I don't let it consume me and take over my beliefs and values and I don't let it take over the true me. And when it does, that's just crossing the line. That's when you know that you've joined the club of failures in this world. And when I look at all the people in this little world of SP...it makes me cringe to see how many people fit this criteria. I just want to say DO NOT get dragged into this whole mess and don't let anyone's judgements make you change. Be who you are.
