Weddings are fun! Lots of drinks and laughs. And dancing.

So many weddings! Lots and lots of weddings! Sounds like you have not, though.

No, not really. It least, none from places other than my homeland. Marrying into another culture has me kind of interested into the others.

[ oh boy. oh boy oh boy. perhaps it's the juxtaposition of any mention of marriage and her name but she takes a moment before clearing her throat, and: ] Yeah, Suki? I'm free. Totally free. Very...unengaged. [ oh god she shouldn't have said it like that. ]

I just mean -- I have time. And space. And...I'd love to. Talk. With you.

[Oh goodness, what a ramble. Poor Buffy.]

You don't have to look so nervous... I was just thinking about that engagement party we postponed a long time ago, that's all.

Oh! Of course. [ a party actually sounds like a great idea. she is on board. ]

You have no idea how glad I am to hear about that. That you want it. Again. Despite all the -- I'm glad. Yes. Of course. I mean...assuming that's what you're thinking about it. It suddenly occurs to me that you actually just didn't say either way.

[Suki can't help but giggle a bit at that.]

Yes, I'm thinking about it. It's a little late for the engagement, but... Sokka and I have been talking about whether or not we should go ahead with getting married here, instead of waiting to go home. It's not like we've made any decisions yet, but it would still be nice to celebrate the fact that it could happen.

[Sokka was a little disappointed to come back from his mission and not be returned home. Worn out from fighting and tons of walking, he staggers home, hoping there's some leftovers from dinner he can find. Not quite bothering with his journal yet, he makes his way inside (none too quietly) and starts digging for food in the fridge.]

[Suki's been waiting for him in the hopes that he'd return soon, so when she hears the sound of someone rifling through the fridge, she wanders out to meet him. Rather than the surprise hug from behind that she's grown so fond of, she waits and watches him quietly for a moment, studying his movements. Is he hurt? How tired is he? Should she wait to give the bad news?]

[Sokka turns around with a bowl full of something. It needs reheated, but he's going at it cold. He swallows what he has when he sees Suki.]

... hey! Um. I was going to stop in, I am just really hungry. [Otherwise he would have found her first, really! But otherwise, he just looks a little worn out. His hair is kind of a mess and barely even in its usual wolf tail. His armor looks like it will need mending and there's some blood stains here and there (not all of them his), but otherwise, he's fine.]

[She takes in the state of the armor, the hair, the blood. Sorts out whether or not that means he's really okay. Her expression is probably more serious than it ought to be - relief, because she's been worrying about him, sorrow that he missed Yue's departure by not even a day, anger that he'd been sent out alone - but after a moment she decides that, while he's alive and standing, he can be one without the other. Stepping over, she tucks her arm gently through his and tugs him towards the table to sit.]

It's okay, I don't mind that you waited. I heard you come in, that's all.

You don't have engagement rings where you're from, Suki-chan?

[Wh- ...oh. Oh yes, right. Sanji is back. And older, damn. Give her a moment to "bwuh" at that.

...

Okay, she's good. Nature of the game in Luceti, apparently.]

Not that I know of. Jewelry is important for some countries, though- the men of the Water Tribe have a tradition of giving their bride-to-be a necklace.

Aah, in that case, they're nearly the same thing~! [This topic is definitely inside a mental box labeled "His Favorite Things Eva"]

A man proposes by giving a ring to his beloved sweetheart~! And on their wedding day, they walk down the isle, with the lady dressed in white, flowers in her hair... [So romantic]

[Looks like someone agrees.]

That sounds really romantic! Why white? And does it have to be a certain kind of flower?
