Family Values Reaffirmed for another day

I have just come back from watching The Prarie Home Companion. Or however it's spelled. ^^'

If you all don't know what the PHC is, it's the last surviving real radio show. Recorded live every Saturday and replayed every Sunday, it is hilarious and down-homy, and all around wonderful. Well, Garrison Keillor (GK), the main voice of the show, decided to write a screenplay about the making of PHC. And so the movie was made. Everyone who sings (and there's alot of singing) are not voiced over, which makes me quite happy. The sound effects guy from the real PHC (not like elecronic mixing, but vocal and hand-made sound effects) was himself in the show. Squee!! he's one of the few people i would fan-mob, nevermind he's an old balding guy, he's just cool. Same with GK (nevermind that he says himself that he has a face for radio)

But yes. Movie was dang near perfect, and nothing less than wonderful. You may not get everything if you've not listened to the shows some, but it's still really, really good. Good wholesome family fun. Even the part when Dusty and Lefty start singing the "Bad Joke Song".

Happy Sarah.

Must go download gospel songs now.
