If this is meant to be an adventure, it's a pretty poor state of one.

[Bitter? Noooooooooo. He's not bitter at all.]

Ah, but it all depends on what you consider to be an adventure my good man.

Well this isn't it.

Or, perhaps you just aren't looking at it from the right perspective aye? For me an adventure is any venture where you put your safety, or life on the line, and get to laugh in the face of death itself while having some fun. So far this has been quite the little adventure for me I'd say.

Why would I want to laugh in the face of death? Death is a dear old friend of mine.

All the better then wouldn't you say? You get to meet him once again in passing, aye? Me, I more often than not enjoy taunting death for not being able to catch me yet. When he finally does, I'll laugh again and tell him, well done old chap!

Most people would not be so pleased to meet death.

I'm not most people, I'm a member of the doomguard, and a planeswalker my good berk.

I'm afraid I've never heard of either of those things before.

Then allow me to enlighten you my berk. A planeswalker is a being that travels to different planes of existence, the truly talented ones doing it of their own volition. The doomguard are harbingers of the end of the universe and of all things, we are the warriors who shall fight at the end of the universe, and ultimately destroy it. The end of the universe won't be for quite some time though, so you've got nothing to worry from me personally. Oh, and a berk is what I call people I don't know quite well enough to call friend yet.

Well that seems a little bit insulting. How do they ever become friends if you start out by calling them that?

[... yeah, that's the most important part Loki got from that whole thing.]

[Haer'Dalis merely shrugs] It's up to them whether or not they want to be friends with me. Besides, I don't usually mean much by it.

So, might I ask who you are, and what your story is that makes you happen to be a good friend of death? I've only met him a few times, and for some reason, never in terribly good terms or circumstances.

[Normally Loki makes people guess, but this guy...]

I am Loki. The trickster god of fire. My daughter, Hel, was keeper of the afterlife.

Does that answer your question?

Haha! Truly? It has been quite some time since I've last met a god, it brings back fond memories actually. Well then, well met my good Loki.

[Haer'dalis takes a flourishing yet respectful bow.]

Interesting to see a god here of all places, but now I think I understand a bit of your displeasure of being here. Being the trickster god of fire, I'd imagine you'd find this place a little... dull. Although you don't look entirely how I expected you to, but gods rarely do.
