How Can I Ever Survive?

Jun 24, 2005 22:34

These streetlights and signs
Beaming over my head,
Beaming me over the head,
Crushing your notes
Written on used Calculus paper -

You never gave me notes,
I never gave you anything -

This rain is tiresome,
The lightening obscene
Like your gestures
Regarding sushi.

We only talked about you once
When you were distracted,
And blasting the heat on the airconditioning
To suffocate in polyester,
To extinguish all the air.

I will never forget this pavement,
That glove, those carts
Because I hit a parked car -

And you can't even drive.
