Next week is the last week of classes. I can't believe how fast this semester has gone by, it seems like I just got here. Now comes the pain of taking apart my room... all those posters seemed like a good idea at the time... At last, the weather finally resembles spring/summer and I can pull out the capris and tank tops out of hibernation. Now if only these finals would take care of themselves...

I can't wait to get home for the summer. This break should be fantastic, full of hanging out with my wonderful boyfriend, my friends, horror movie marathons, beach days, bbqs... I love the smell of summer. I'm even looking forward to getting a job, though I'm sure I'll retract that statement soon enough. It does seem kind of weird not to have any definite vacation plans so far. I really miss the days when my parents and I would drive up to Cape Code and take the ferry over to the Vineyard for a few weeks. Nothing but the beach, fishing, picking strawberries, walking around the small towns eating saltwater taffy and watching my dad paint. This time last year, Katie, Sai, Yasmine and I were counting down the days until we took off for Europe. Last night, Keane's "She Has No Time" came on my random shuffle and it instantly reminded me of driving in the rainy countryside around Heusden on my birthday. That entire album makes me feel like I'm still sitting in the train riding from Amsterdam to Paris. One day I hope that my travels take me back to those places, but for now, I think I need some new adventures.
