Some things just have too many legs

Today was an eventful one, despite the rain! Firstly I did not get up until 1:00, which is nothing surprising for me, then I went to Bridgestreet with some friends, where I attempted to study french and didn't get very far. Oh but chocolate mint tea...mmmmmmm. Heavenly. I bought us some bristol board for quotes at the dollar store, and some halloween decorations. I think we've decided that for our monthly activity we're going to have a scary-story telling night. I'm excited! :)

I came back afterwards and attempted to study french some more. I was beginning to come to the conclusion that it was one of those things you either "know" or "don't" because there didn't seem to be much in the way of normal studying to do. We left for Joey's for a dinner with all the same people we were at Bridgestreet with, plus two more, and those two had some surprising news for us! They got engaged! ACK! I am really happy and excited for them! Nonetheless, it makes me feel old and far behind the times. Yikes...marriage! What a thought!

We went to the Ballet straight after that, which was a version of Cinderella, ballet style. It was so prettyful, and MAN those tights were tight o.O ; You could definitely see E V E R Y T H I N G outline quite sharply in nylon. The prince was very prince-y, Cinderella was very Cinder-y, and the fairies were certianly fae. That's all I asked for :) Then there is always the novelty of telling all your friends back home you had a distinguished evening of dinner and ballet. No need to mention that the dinner was pizza and garlic fingers :P

Then, having returned, I sat down to read over some french stuff, when I caught movement out of the corner of my eye. I looked and it was a CENTIPEDE!! ACCK! HIDEOUS! I can deal with most bugs that find their way into my room, and so far I've had critters ranging from silverfish, earwigs, spiders, and beetles, but a CENTIPEDE??? ...no way can I deal with that shit. I didn't want to wake dorthea, so I ran down the hallway to the first open door I found, and it was erika and a guy from upstairs...jarred I think? So they came and killed it. THANK GOD!! I was so freaked out thinking that thing would be jittering around my room whilst I slept x.X ;

Now here I sit, putting of this go-nowhere studying just a bit longer. Well, I shall read over this story and the poem we have to know, and then attempt to sleep.

Good night, Toulmonde!
