It's strange to be real

I realized today how little time I have to get myself ready. eleven days. While I can't wait to get the hell out, don't get me wrong, I have a lot to do and probably not enough time to do it in, as I am now leaving earlier than planned, and am working 40 hours a week until I go. Not that I'm complaining about that either, mind you the paychecks will be glorious. Before I go, I need to:

cancel my direct deposit, and look into changing my address so that my next two checks are sent to the new address
Get my last three shifts covered at work, people owe me. I worked overtime this week.
Oh I don't know, maybe start packing? I need to at least fish out the black and blue bags I used last time I went home, as well as my Mary Poppins Bag (no seriously, it's a carpet bag) and one more carry on. I know I'll have to pay for extra baggage but it still works out cheaper than shipping....Megs you might want to make sure your car is cleaned out before you pick me up :)
Have my car serviced, even though I'm not taking it I don't feel right about leaving it with the check oil light on, no gas...and dog haired.
I think that's about all. I know little things will crop up here and there but, whatever. Oh yeah, I need to go to Verizon and make sure my phone won't be roaming or have any rediculous charges on it if I don't switch numbers or whatever, and I need to make sure everything's tidied up at school, last I heard my parents got a tuition bill for this semester, which is interesting, since I'm not attending.

I also should take a copy of my updated resume on thumb drive so I can start distributing that as soon as I get there, I applied online to Guitar Center, so we'll see where that goes. Really I'd like the 'bucks to become my secondary position eventually and work something more full time that oh I don't know, challenges me?
Keep dreaming, I know.

Oh, I also found out I can bring my guitar in it's gig bag and leave it at the door when I'm boarding, kind of like people do with strollers, and that way I don't have to spend the money on a hard case right away. But still, we'll see how many bags I end up bringing. I'm bringing both my camera's, too.

I went through my bookshelf and decided there isn't really anything there I can't live without, the library is down the street and I'll probably buy a new book for the plane ride. I also might invest in a $12 discman since my computer still won't be running, and my ipod is dead. God I hate apple right now. But yeah, I discovered I have over 100 cds of my own (that I can locate) and Jamie and James are going to burn me all kinds of delights before i leave.

Tonight is supposed to be Adam and I's going away party, but it's Adam birthday and I bet he'll end up downtown at the bars and not come out with us, and quite frankly, I don't know how down I am for getting tanked before I have to open at 5:30 on Sunday but, whatever. we'll see.

Alright, I really should go get in the shower and get ready for work...

love me?
