After getting back late afternoon from California via portal, Cally had spent a lot of the afternoon with Mac in her room. Eventually, after a good deal of convincing Mac she was okay, she'd gone off back to her own room. Annette walked in after an handwavey evening walk around the park. She needed the cool, crisp air to help her think over a few pressing matters.

When she saw Cally laying down, she knew something was wrong. Tentatively and quietly, she said, "Hey, Cally."

Cally looked over and gave Annette a tentative smile. "Hey roomie," she said. "Miss me this weekend?"

"Last night," Cally said, letting out a deep breath. "We went to a party. To try and track down and stop... a rapist."

"Well, good news is we found him and got him and his friend arrested," Cally said. "Bad news..." her voice faltered a bit. "Well, I almost became a victim myself."

"Oh, that is so good, Cally. People like that shouldn't be allowed in society." She said, relieved. But as Cally continued, Annette stood up from her bed. "What?!"

"We figured out who his next victim was going to be and... well, I tried to get to her room before he could, and stuff, and... he came in, and I pretended to be the drugged girl, and I tazered him and bit his ear off and stabbed him with a unicorn, but when I ran away his RA buddy found me and tricked me into drinking drugged tea and... that's when it gets really hazy, but Mac and Lindsey saved me before anything happened."

Annette stood stock still, her eyes wide and her mouth gaping.

"Oh my god, Cally. Oh my god." She fell back on her bed. "You bit a ear off. Cally, are you okay? Did you go to the doctor? The second guy, what happened to him?"

"I'm okay, I was told I just needed to let stuff wear off, and that guy got arrested too," Cally said. "And Lindsey punched one of them in the face."

"This is so terrible. I mean good that they got what they deserved, but I'm so sorry you went through all of this. Crap, that's bad." She rubbed her temple.

"Is there anything I can do for you?"

Cally took a deep breath and started scratching again at the part of her neck where Mercer had licked her. "I'm... dealing," Cally said. "But I think I'm gonna be on edge for a while."
