The fire got so freaking close, it's a bloody miracle.
But they managed to put it out just as it was ready to burn through this patch of shrubs and dried marshland and fly into our neighborhood. The panic it caused is enough to give me ulcers for the rest of my life.

But thanks to everyone for their concern, I guess luck was really on our side what with the Santa Ana winds blowing in and all.
My sister's school is closed tomorrow but mine is open, despite it being the site for all evacuees. Dx Sorry for all the spamming about fires recently, but we have shitty arsonists who seem to think it's amusing to toss a cig during fire season.
