In a word, Hope is Family. He's her little brother, even if they're not related by blood. He helped her to learn that hiding all her emotions wasn't helping anyone, and he taught her that throwing off the past wasn't going to protect Serah. She genuinely cares for Hope, and would take a bullet for him with no hesitation, even now that she has no magic in either Route or in Gran Pulse. No matter what, she will be there to support him, be it with a rare hug or a stern word to remind him that he's stronger than he thinks.

Snow the Idiot or just plain Snow, depending on her mood. Her future brother-in-law, and though she's still learning to get along with him, she trusts him with her back. No longer in Johto; vanished a week after she arrived and his signal disappeared in December. She's sworn to break his nose for all the worry and trouble he put his friends and allies through. She might break more than that now that Serah is in Johto.

Serah Farron, Lightning's beloved baby sister. On a blood level, Serah is the only family she has left and Lightning knows it. She loves her sister and would do anything for her, no matter the cost. That is what family does, after all.

Fang, Fang, Fang. Fang is a trusted ally, no matter how much her teasing still gets on Lightning's nerves even her in Johto. Fang is someone Lightning does trust no matter the situation because they've gone through enough together that Light knows the other woman has her back. Johto has given them a second chance to get to know one another, and Light isn't wasting this.

Vanille is......Vanille. A childhood friend of Fang's and someone who met Serah just before the entire l'Cie fiasco really started, Lightning doesn't know Vanille all that well. Due to the other girl being normally quite cheerful, she has the tendency to grate on Light's nerves. Especially now, with her dodging knowledge of Pulse and flat out lying about things that Light already knows. But family is family, and Light does trust Vanille. Even if it doesn't seem that way.

Sazh is a fellow Cocoonian, and a fellow Pulse l'Cie. There's the trust Lightning has for her comrades there, even if Lightning and Sazh haven't spoken much here in Johto. Sazh is a father first, and Lightning respects that the moment she sees his devotion to Dajh, so her respect for him is pretty high. Even if he has the tendency to complain about things sometimes.

Her sparring partner. Leon is someone Lightning trusts pretty deeply, despite the fact that their worlds are so similar kind of creeps her out if she stops and thinks about it. There's something about Leon that prompts Light to relax a little, too. Is there something there? Yes, but it's not romantic. Not yet, anyway

Rise is the first person to call her "Light" in Johto, and it shows. She's got the tendency to make her a little more chatty than normal, though that may be due to the fact she sounds creepily like Serah. A very good singer whom Odin loves for all the berries and pettings he gives her, Lightning looks at Rise like a sister, and has admitted that she might as well be family. She meant every word of that, and always will.

A friend of Hopes; someone who was here before her "return" and someone who traveled with him. He's a good kid, if a little bit naive and too bright-hearted sometimes. Honestly cares for his friends, and was willing to go rescue someone who had attacked him. Light kind of likes him, and would help to protect him for more than just him being Hope's friend. Is one of her students in Lightning's hand to hand classes.

Lightning is keeping her eye on Sora. He has the tendency to get into trouble with both people and Pokémon, and though they haven't spoken much, she's keeping an eye on him. He's a good kid who gave her hope when she felt she didn't have much left, and he's got a geniunely bright outlook on life. Even if he's a bit naive and could use some serious work in his hand to hand skill. One of her students.

The big bro of Team Shota, he and Light haven't spoken much since Minnie's rescue mission. He cares for his friends, and for the people around him, but that's pretty much all she knows about him. He's Ven's friend, though, so she's not too wary about him. One to keep an eye on, though. There's something those three haven't told anyone, and she doesn't like that. Has since returned home.
