004 [Accidental Video/Action for Route 31 and Violet]

[Well, this is a familiar sight. Lightning and Odin are out training again, though this time it isn't as late, due to Rise's drooping pigtails routine from yesterday. They're back out on Route 31, and if there's a creaking sound, it's because Lightning is holding her Gear with a white-knuckled grip. No Gastly is getting the drop on her this time.

[A game of tag, my dear Pikachu? Sadly, no. Not unless you call burning a smokeball until it can be caught or it runs away tag. Upon hearing those pikas, and then Ven's voice, Lightning turns to look over her shoulder, but doesn't slow down. Just a minute, Ven. She's got a Gastly to catch, and a Pikachu to not step on.]

[And underfoot he seems to enjoy going, too. Lightning has to skid to a stop or end up stepping on him, though Odin keeps charging on ahead, still chasing after the Gastly, spitting fire whenever it tries to stray into the grass or trees.]

[She just shakes her head, looking after Odin]

It's okay, Ventus. Don't worry about it.

[Odin whinnies suddenly, and Lightning whirls around in time to see the Gastly move in for an attack. Excuse her, Ven and Bolt, but she's got a Pokeball to throw. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay closed and Gastly bursts out after two shakes, looking angrier than before.]

Ven, get back.

[With barely a moment's hesitation, Odin sends out another Ember attack. This is enough to weaken Gastly further, and Lightning's next Pokeball stays closed after the third shake, leaving her to sigh in relief a little as Odin rears, pawing at the air and whinnying in joy and pride.]

[Odin is just going to prance around now, head held high as Lightning walks over to claim her filled Pokeball. Oh, the enthusiasm of youth.]

Out for a walk, Ven?

[Even when he's old and grey as Xehanort, he'll never outgrow it. Hello, Bolt. Have an Odin coming closer for a sniff.]

Try not to run into any of those ghosts. They're...pretty annoying.

[In that respect, Lightning got lucky. She only blacked out for a moment after the surprise knocked her flat.]

She stop doing that after you caught her?

[Hello to you too, Bolt. Odin will be trying to stare at him, but, well, it's not exactly easy to stare at something on your nose and not go cross-eyed.]

[Probably because he did. Lightning sighs here. Still likes to startle people, huh? Well, that might be an issue.]

It's a start, I guess. Training this one is going to take a while.

[Stare...stare...stare...oh, yes, the battle was fun. The chase was so much better, though. Really, that's where the fun is.]
