He calls himself this big Hero, always running straight into fights. He should have been one of the first to charge to Minnie's rescue.

Not unless his Pokegear is still recieving calls. He just didn't pick up. [And that makes her a little nervous.]

[Strange...but then she remembers she'd gotten only a weak signal while in Union Cave, and it makes sense.]
