Minachi CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: Nicholas D. Wolfwood/Trigun
In-Game Name: Nicholas D. Wolfwood
Age: Chronologically 16, mentally/physically late 20s.
Gender: Male
Position & Ship: Priest/Gunner aboard the Winding Way
Appearance: Wolfwood stands almost six foot tall, though he tends to slouch a great deal. He is somewhat broad across the shoulders, and has a lanky, long-limbed build. He has black hair in varying degrees of shagginess and blue-grey eyes that are usually covered with sunglasses. Wolfwood's features are striking and, some would argue, fairly attractive - he has an aquiline (polite for 'rather large') nose, a sharp jawline (usually covered with a 5 o'clock shadow), and thin lips that are often turned up in a smirk.
His priestly garb is nothing of the sort - Wolfwood is most often seen in a well-cut, if travel-worn, black suit with a white dress shirt and thin black tie. His cufflinks are small silver crosses. Wolfwood often carries a large cross over his shoulder, wrapped in white cloth and thin leather straps. It is extraordinarily heavy.
To say Wolfwood is a chain-smoker wouldn't quite do his habit justice. He is only without a cigarette when sleeping or around kids for long periods of time. It is not uncommon to see him with an unlit cigarette in his mouth if the environment does not permit an actual flame.
Personality: Upon first impression, Wolfwood is boisterous, cheerful, and likely comes off as having a few screws loose. He will tease, taunt, and get in someone's face if it'll get an amusing reaction and switches from child-like and energetic, to sly and conspiratorial. His gestures are exaggerated, his grin a bit too broad, and sells his religion like any good businessman should. Curious travelers will often find themselves wearing his soon-to-be-patented Confessional-In-A-Box should they ask about his profession.
Beneath all this, Wolfwood is dry, sarcastic, and eminently practical. His life has given him a deeply-embedded sense of skepticism and he takes nothing at face value. He is jaded to the point that he tries to find an ulterior motive behind every act of goodwill. Wolfwood will not balk at speaking the stark truth, even if met with hostility - he is immensely contemptuous of those who try to close their eyes and ears to reality. Despite his collar, Wolfwood's faith in religion is an ironic thing. He may not believe, but he does place a certain amount of faith in the ritual and reaction of it all.
Wolfwood is a survivor above all things - he will not go out of his way to kill, but he will not hesitate to pull the trigger if it will keep him (or whomever he is protecting) alive. He does not pretend to subscribe to any standard moral code - his actions are driven by determination and the iron-clad belief that no goal can be achieved without some sort of sacrifice.
On a lighter note, Wolfwood's time in the orphanage has left him with a considerable soft spot for children. Above all else, he will always protect children from harm, physical or mental. He doesn't want any child to have to deal with the sort of life he's led.
Abilities/Weapons: Not surprisingly, the cross he lugs around is not made of wood - it is actually a multi-part weapon code-named the "Punisher". The arms slide back to reveal 8 .38s (4 on each side), embedded in the butt end is an internal-feed machine gun, and in the top of the cross is a high powered rocket launcher. Wolfwood also carries a black pistol in his shoulder holster. Needless to say, he is an excellent gunman.
Thanks to the extensive alterations he underwent as a child, Wolfwood's combat abilities are enhanced. Nothing that a normal person would notice, but an experience fighter would see that he is just a little faster, a little stronger, and has better instincts than usual. He can sustain fairly high amounts of damage, though he will bleed out the same as anyone else.
Inside his jacket, on the holster opposite his gun, is a pouch with small vials filled with a reddish liquid. When drank, these vials speed his regenerative abilities exponentially, allowing him to heal even broken bones in a matter of seconds.
Hacking Abilities: Rudimentary. He could maybe get past something super sloppy, but not much else.
Weaknesses: Extensive genetic manipulation or no, Wolfwood is still a fairly scrawny guy. He is very skilled at using leverage against larger opponents, but he won't win in a battle of brute strength.
The vials that so enhance his regenerative abilities also have a major downfall. They put an immense amount of strain on his body by forcing it to heal so rapidly; were he to drink too many too close to each other, he would not be able to keep up with the medicine and his body would simply shut down. Even if used correctly, the vials take another toll on Wolfwood - by jump-starting his healing, they also knock his biological clock forward a year or two, shortening his life and aging him slightly overnight.
History: Wolfwood was born in the Badlands, though he is not quite sure where or when. He was raised in an isolated orphanage nestled in the northern mountains, along with 20 or so other children and a single adult guardian.
Around the age of 10, a priest by the name of Chapel came to the orphanage and adopted Wolfwood and his friend Livio. Chapel belonged to the Eye of Michael, a radical religious sect (overseen by Millions Knives) that believed in 'purifying' Reial, and raised both boys as assassins for the order. As soon as they were deemed 'worthy', Wolfwood and Livio underwent extensive - and painful - physical modifications that enhanced their combat abilities and aged them rapidly.
Although Livio eventually turned into the killing machine Chapel intended him to be, Wolfwood never quite went along with the Eye of Michael's plans. As soon as he was able, Wolfwood shot Chapel and took his place - and name - in the Gung-Ho Guns, 13 of the most deadly assassins Knives could assemble. His goal was simple - kill Knives and put a halt to his attempts at genocide.
Wolfwood's first - and only - assignment as a Gun-Ho Gun was to find and protect Knives' elusive brother, Vash the Stampede. He spent the next few years following rumors of the gunman, and made a living as a traveling priest across the Badlands. Word eventually reached him, however, of Vash's slightly more permanent location aboard the Winding Way and Wolfwood immediately set out on the outlaw's tail once again.
