A moment in peer pressuring history...

So, after nearly a semester of Sarah badgering (with the help of a certain couple of pairs of insanely pointy Glinda shoes), I finally gave in. They're mildly pointy (NOT insane...actually rather nice until you realize that pointiness is just abnormal in feet). Ten pounds (which she paid half of...early birthday gift or some such excuse). No visible heel to speak of, though I have discovered that if you tilt them right you can do a 360 like a ballerina in reverse toe shoes. Extremely green. Emerald green. And it only took me twenty minutes of alternately trying to run away, listening to my conscience (Prez), listening to my reason and dislike of shopping and shoes, and listening to Sarah and Kate informing me that the shoes and I deserved each other (the British clerks definitely had their "crazy Americans" faces on). I call them Elphaba slippers.

London theatres, beware.
