Advent Drabble for nursedarry!

In an effort to spice up his Muggle Studies lessons, Harry had arranged a rugby competition. Running through the mud, he realised quite what a stupid idea that had been. Not only was he cold and wet - December was a crap month for any kind of outdoors sports - but he was seeing his students in a whole new light. He'd known that the Gryffindor-Slytherin match would be as stressful as their Quidditch matches were, but he had forgotten to factor in the increased bodily contact that rugby brought with it. He had never seen such dirty playing in all his life, and they were only fifteen minutes into the game. The watching students were cheering on the blood-sport, and Harry was on the verge of a heart attack as he ran up and down the field, trying to keep a vigilant eye on what was happening.

Harry saw Scorpius gearing for the tackle, but it was one of those moments where he knew exactly what was going to happen, and had no time to stop it.

Al didn't even have the ball anymore, but that didn't seem to bother Scorpius, who at seventeen had filled out far more than Harry would have expected. He had muscles. And they were all aimed at Harry's son. Al never stood a chance, and Harry heard the crunch of the tackle all the way across the pitch.

Blowing his whistle to stop the game, Harry sprinted over the pitch and picked both boys up by the scruffs of their necks. "What the hell was that?"

"He's a cheat!"

"He was baiting me!"

"Fuck you, Slytherin ponce!" Al's retort didn't do anything to convince Harry that he hadn't been baiting Scorpius. Truthfully, Harry suspected Al had been baiting him, because Al was like that.

Shaking Al, Harry pushed him away and pointed towards the other players. "Get over there, and either follow the rules or get off my pitch!"

Al stormed off, muttering darkly, and Harry turned to Scorpius. Scorpius smiled angelically at him. "Don't even try that with me, Scorpius. If a player hasn't got the ball, don't tackle them."

"You haven't got the ball, and I bet you'd like to be tackled by me."

Harry tried to ignore the way Scorpius' smirk made his stomach feel hot. "You won't be tackling me for a very long time if you don't play by the damn rules."

"Fine, fine," Scorpius muttered, wiping mud from his face and walking towards his teammates.

Harry reached out, grabbing Scorpius' arm and turning him around. There was one sure-fire way to guarantee Scorpius would play by all the rules, and not take this as an opportunity to settle some scores with Gryffindor. "Remember; cheating invalidates our wager. And it'd be a shame to have to return those French knickers."

Scorpius eyes widened, and he nodded, dashing back to his teammates with a grin. That was Scorpius taken care of; now Harry just had to find away to keep the other players from killing each other. This was the last time he ever tried to take his lessons out of the classroom.
