the trees tried to be stiller than the darkness; we tried to be faster than the trees who tried to catch us whose shadows sang and sang low, gnawing and sang godonlyknows the inherent stillness of the mind or how fast do we have to be to meet you at your heart.
open this box labled "trust" on the day you think you were born and in the seconds before discovering the contents of the box, imagine yourself on a beach, with hooks in your eyelids and your father is screaming that you are dead to your face. which in fact, he is not screaming, but singing, loudly. to which your mummbled reply is, "i heard what you said to my mother, the day i was conceived."
i've been weird and moody and stressful and also really good and more stable than i ever could've imagined and sort of dependent and clingy. so. that's a lot of adjectives, i've to assume you'll understand. how're you?
dear marina, i'm sorry i didn't follow up on the picture buying thing. money matters got quite bleak, my gallery haven't paid me yet, i'm quite furious about it because the buyers pay them and the gallery uses the money then makes me beg for it for months. i hope that your problem got sorted out in the end. i was also very keen on using one of your images for a project i am working on at the moment. basically i am using pictures by internet friends in a series of paintings i am making at the moment. this is a sort of secret project so i'm not making a big noise about it. the intention is for it to be a collaboration whereby each painting has been done by me but will credit the original photographer, a sort of global collaboration. i would also like to have text but this would be painted on the wall of the gallery surrounding the painting, in different types, as to acquaint the viewer further with the spirit of the image. i looked at loads of your pictures (as much as my slow connection could cope with) and i realised that you take

no need to apologize, i understand money matters getting tight quite well; in the end it all worked out fine, anyway. as for your project: yes! i would be very very interested! most of the pictures i take of other people are of andy so the subject is incredibly familiar. however, i am currently working on a self-potrait project (mostly in black and white though; i imagine you're more interested in color?) centering around quiet, the quiet that a body alone has as opposed to a quiet between people. i'm not quite sure how it'll work out, or if it will work out at all. do keep my updated on this project, though.
thanks so much for replying, i had been waiting. yes, you're right i'm more interested in colour. when i looked through your pictures the other day i singled out quite a few. if i was to let you know which i like would that be ok? maybe we could go from there.
yeah, sorry it took so long; my livejournal comments haven't been directed to my inbox lately, i was just going through comments seeing if anything new had happened yesterday.
also, yes it would be fine if you let me know which you'd like.
