ana and i just saw miranda july's new movie YOU AND ME AND EVERYONE WE KNOW.

i feel like i just ate an entire birthday cake. (meaning: the movie was SO SO SO SO GOOD. and i can't even begin to digest it.)

you must see this movie BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE! ASAP!

ah i want to see that movie!! i love miranda july.
learning to love you more is so wonderful, the name is great. have you ever done one of the assignments? i really want to i have just never gotten around to it.

for some inane reason i've never compeleted any of the projects. i have grand plans to do so this summer.

there was this offshoot group of portlanders that started a similar thing, called "Special Projects Club" after taking a class at PNCA with Harrell-- and they would post an assignment that would have to be executed somewhere in public, anywhere in portland.

i did a few of those projects -- my favorite one was "Claim a Telephone Pole".

My husband got to see that movie at MoMA and got to shake Miranda July's hand and he almost died because of his collossal crush on her.

I have a question for you! We're pretty much sure that we are moving to Portland within a year... where is a good area to live? Like the equivalent to East Van in its awesomeness.

mmm. you'd probably be happiest in North East, or Inner North -- anywhere around Mississippi is inundated with mostly cheap awesome houses, but it's a fast bike ride or bus trip downtown. SE is also nice, slightly more expensive. http://portland.craigslist.org is always helpful in scouting housing, or at least it may give you a feel for prices and neighborhoods.
