Betrayal

He’d been spying on them for weeks. They seemed happy enough. But Sam was a hunter like him and like John no matter what he thought when he had gone off to Stanford thinking that he was different. Thinking that maybe he was too good for the family business.

What hurt Dean the most was the compounding of the betrayals that he felt from Sam. It wasn’t just one thing.

It was all of those fights with Dad where Dean always had to step in and referee to keep just little bit of the peace.

It was Sam showing them his acceptance letter from Stanford with the full scholarship.

It was Sam asking Dean for a ride to the bus and then getting out of the Impala and never looking back.

It was Sam leaving him on his own because everyone who knew anything knew that John was gone on his obsession with the YED.

It was Sam finding what looked like love with the pretty girl with the blue eyes and the long, blonde curly hair.

It was Sam not needing him in his life anymore that made him feel betrayed and lonely and unloved.

He knew he couldn’t just convince Sam that this life wasn’t for him. And that the girl, Jess wasn’t for him either.

He had to show Sam that she wasn’t the one. She didn’t love him the way that he did. Nobody ever would.

Dean was so fucked up in the head about losing Sam, the only person who had ever loved him with his whole soul, that he didn’t see what he was about to do as a betrayal. No. Dean looked at it as a favor to Sam, to show him what Jess was really like. That sooner or later that girl of his would step out on him and break his heart.

He had spotted the girl at the bar. He had split her from her pack. He had gotten her liquored up and was flirting with her and she him. He’d had his hand under her skirt and up her thigh with his fingers teasing under the elastic of her panties, leaning in and whispering in her ear, kissing her neck and mouth.

It was just when she had gotten situated in his lap with his hand back under her skirt when Sam walked in frantic, looking for Dean who had finally called him after a year, out of the blue with some urgent message telling Sam that it was important they talk, face to face.

Seeing his girlfriend in Dean’s lap, with his brother fingering his girlfriend under her skirt, her arm around his neck, head back letting Dean lick and suckle her throat, as Dean glanced up meeting Sam’s eyes, he felt betrayed.

But even though he should be pissed at both Dean and Jessica, he was surprised that the only one that he was pissed off at was the girl.

He had loved her. Thought that he had, anyway. But she was apparently just a slut. Not to be trusted.

He walked to the table and spoke to them both. “Jess. Dean.”

The look on her face when she spotted Sam left him to think this wasn’t the first time. Just the first time that she had been caught.

Sam turned and walked away without saying another word.

Jess looked at Dean and said, “You’re that Dean? His brother? What kind of an asshole are you?”

Dean just shook his head and said, “That’s my brother. He’s my boy. The question isn’t whether I’m an asshole. It’s what kind of slut are you? You aren’t good enough for him. Better he find out now than later. Now get off my lap, bitch.”
