This is a picture that was in our local newspaper today. We live down underneath all that fog. It is called an inversion layer holding the fog and pollution in and we haven't seen the sun since last week.
It's pretty up above the fog. It sucks when you are down in it and it is cold and miserable, especially when you have weather induced asthma.
At least it is only in the 40's right now during the day. When we get this inversion layer in the dead of winter it will hang in the low 20's for two or three weeks at a time.
I did see the sun Saturday because I drove out of the valley to take care of a few things about 50 miles away. But at home, basically
pea soup.
