So, I guess living in St. Louis is just not as great as I had hoped. I kind of miss the "small town" scene. I hate knowing that if I decide to go out to the bar or something I have to get all dressed up in clothes I don't want to buy because they are $$$ and worry about how fat I am. Where in small town, even Mankato, you can pretty much where anything and still feel attractive. The guys here are completely shallow and all the single ones that I've met so far are complete losers. It's like guys who were raised here never want to leave the safety of the nest. All they care about is "status" and what high school they graduated from. A lot of them still live at home mooching off mommy and daddy, even at 27 years old... And the one's from here who don't live with their parents are still home bodies... spending every weekend having dinner with the parents and brunch with the extended fam. Nothing wrong with being a family person... I miss my family terribly, but come on, you're going to turn down going out to dinner with a friend because you told your parents you were going to have dinner with them? LAME. It'd be different if you didn't live 15 minutes away from them.
Enough ranting for now, just had to get that out there. Now gotta go find kitty... she keeps knocking down my tree!
