Young Justice Animated Fic: Girls Are Better
Miss Martian's broken cries have reduced to soft, quiet sniffles. Artemis' hand rubbing slow circles on her back, comforting her. Trying to help with her broken heart.
"I... I can't believe it. I never would've thought..." Megan's sentence trailed off.
All this was caused when Megan saw Superboy and Robin holding each other, then finally kissing. Locking lips. The minute she saw it, she ran away, and broke down on the floor. Artemis found her minutes later, rushing to her side, a worried looked etched across her face. When Artemis asked what was wrong, Megan explained everything.
Artemis nodded in understanding. "I know. I thought Superboy was straight as straight could get. I had my doubts on Robin but..." She shook her head, "It doesn't matter. Boys are stupid anyways. Girls have always been better." Artemis cracked a smile, an attempt to get Megan to feel better.
It worked! Megan started to giggle slightly and lean onto Artemis. "You got that right. Hello Megan! I should've realized that all along! I also should've realized, that you're so much better than Superboy!"
That last comment that came from Megan's mouth surprised Artemis, but she didn't care. "Maybe, just maybe, Artemis thought, she likes me too."
Then Megan looked embarrassed, finally realizing what she blurted out. "Unless... You don't feel that way."
Artemis rolled her eyes, "Of course I do, silly!" She lightly placed a kiss on Megan's lips.
Megan then, almost immediately broke into laughter.
Artemis huffed. "I'm not that bad of a kisser!"
Megan shook her head and pointed behind them. They both looked back and saw Wally standing there, his jaw just about to hit the floor. It finally closed, and one word came out of his mouth, "Hot..."
