Relationships between supervisors are complicated. More specifically, the relationship between a student teacher and a co-op. I have never been one to hold my tongue - it's not really my nature - so I tend to simply blurt out my thoughts as they come. It's hard now though, because as much as I want to be friends, my co-op is still evaluating my performance. I mentioned that I liked teaching a mini-lesson on Friday because it made the morning go faster, and he took that to mean I want more responsibilities and more work in the classroom.
Ugh.
It's like, everything I say, I have to constantly watch. And when you are watching what you say from 6:45am to 7:00pm five days a week, it's freaking exhausting.
On the bright side, I really do love my kids. Some of them are frustrating, but I love them all. Every day I find a new favorite - Danny or Michael or Demetrius or Samantha or Lauren or James. They are all wonderful.
I love what I do, I just don't like doing it in someone else's classroom.
