Okay, okay, after having this open in a tab like all day, I finally read this, and LOVE.

Carlos’ eyes darkened and he unfolded his hands to grip the arms of the chair he was sitting in. Protective captain Gurpe. He would react that way at the suggestion of ~casually bonding his cachorros!

The darkness is oddly more terrifying than the noise... Oh, baby boo. It will be okay...

It’s so strange, Ander decides, how he can feel both sides. He can feel his arm around Iker like Iker’s body is his own. That is some freaky shiz, yes. But it also has ~interesting possibilities XD I look forward to your exploitation of this phenomenon.

Iñigo & Susa :3 Their fear. One more night... pobrecitos! <3 But I like how they're serving as the stable older role models for Iker & Ander, the continuity through the generations... it's so very perfectly Athletic.

“They broke into the lab?” Ahahahahaha I love that this is Joseba's first thought... I wouldn't put it past Iker either!

In conclusion: love this so much! Athletic is precisely the addition that the soulbonding-verse needed! The inclusion of the older generation is especially nicely-done, I think, and I look forward to what you're going to do with this story!

I'm glad you love it! The older generation is actually the one I'm having the most difficulty with tbh, cos most of my knowledge of that time period is statistical cos I was so YOUNG then.

Yeah, I am not so good with the older generation, either, as I only started following football at all in 2005, and Athletic didn't really get on my radar til the 2009 Copa. But Gurpe, right off the bat, was exactly perfect as the papá león, so I trust you've got a pretty good idea :-p

Susa and Iñigo... can't wait, even though I hate when my bbs are all hurty! :-(

(Also on my first read-through, I totally missed the adorable/hilarious/probably true detail about Iker " curled up in all the blankets". Of course he steals the covers. Of course. And using the bond to try to get breakfast in bed. Perfection <3)
