Another round, because I can can can!
Here are the words underless associates with me:
AFI - My favourite band, has been so for, say, 2 - 3 years now. I first heard of them way back in the early days of my intarweb life, when all I did was to hang out at the official Offspring chatroom. It took years before I actually heard them, though; I happened to see Miss Murder on Mtv (which, in itself, is quite remarkable, as Mtv these days hardly plays any music, let alone good music), I remembered the band's name, and thought "Hey, this is pretty good!"
Then nothing. Time went by, I didn't see or hear anything more from AFI, and I kinda forgot about them again - until someone on a music sharing comm here in LJ posted a few songs by them. I downloaded them, listened, then went to Pirate Bay and downloaded all their albums. XD
I now own four of them for realz - DecemberUnderground, Sing The Sorrow, The Art Of Drowning, and Black Sails In The Sunset (my favourite), plus CexCells, the first album by Blaqk Audio, the electronic side project by AFI singer Davey Havok and guitarist Jade Puget. And yes, I will buy the remaining AFI records when I can.
I haven't seen them live (yet), and I was quite miffed to find they'd been playing here in Stockholm less than a month before I became an all-out fan of theirs. Their next album is said to be coming in September this year, so if they go on tour after that I might be able to catch them in New York, which would be a Thing Of Rockage. \o/
Jewelry - I do that too, check it out. I did two necklaces today, and one yesterday (though I'm kinda sorta thinking of redoing that), I need to get photos of them and put 'em up, 'cos they're very nice. (Or as we say in Sweden: najs.) I make my stuff with quite simple means: fishing line, some sort of clasp, and beads, often from secondhand bracelets/necklaces that I've taken apart.
I'd like to do more advanced stuff, but I simply can't afford the materials right now. :/ I have this idea for a really nice charm bracelet, with a hotel breakfast theme, but since the charms I need costs 15 - 25 SEK a piece... Yeah, maybe some other time.
Fashion - Oh, if only I had a sewing machine... And the monies to buy fabrics and stuff, of course. And some mad sewing skillz. Project Runway is one of my guilty pleasures on the telly (though it's less fun without Christian Siriano around), and every time I watch it I go "Damnit (Janet!), I could be a fashion designer too, foo!" I would quite like to make my own clothes instead of buying, and I hope that someday I will be able to, but now? No can do.
And hey, I made a comic about a fashion designing centaur. XD How 'bout that?
Weird Slash - Heeeheheheeheehee... The world should be grateful that I don't write down the Weird Shit that happens in my head, 'cos it's Really Weird Shit. I haven't made a list of the Weird Shit I slash at people (usually whichever hot celebrity I'm adoring the most, right now it's Davey Havok), but if I did it'd include giant insects, rotting horse corpse demons, mirrors, trees, deserts, baroque furniture, dogs, Barack Obama, the internet, velociraptors...
If the dark side has cookies then my brain is a friggin' Oreo factory. XD
Crazy - Who, me? Naaah! I once read that a sign of madness is when one starts laughing out loud for no apparent reason, and, er, I do that quite often. Only, I usually have a reason, it's just that it tends to be things that can't be explained, so people think I've lost the plot when I can't say what's so funny about the baroque mirror in the antique shop window. XD
Meh, let them shake their heads and roll their eyes. Life's too short to waste time being normal!
