He didn’t understand. Why was everyone so shocked and afraid of him?
And even as the he consumed the red stones, as he watched the other homunculi kill mercilessly, he still didn’t quite yet understand why the red tattoo on the ball of his foot was so evil. It wasn’t until he felt how easily the knife he held sunk into human flesh did he understand.
They were afraid because he enjoyed it.
But it wasn’t until Izumi died, that every time he killed, he started picturing his mother under the blade.
And that’s when he began to be afraid.
