Sophisticated, yet different, without making a huge fuss

I started with my personal trainer today. I'm quite pleased with a number of things:

* She brought along Madonna's Hard Candy to work out to, along with Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad.
* She is my age. And looks like an anime character. I can't wait to look like that!
* She kicks my butt.

I also wrote to a professor at Universidad de Buenos Aires who wrote a book about Tribus Urbanas (Urban Tribes). I'd like to interview her. Though it's so hard not to sound like Men in Black: "We've read your book and followed your commentary with great interest. We are from the U.S. Embassy. Let us know when we can get together for coffee. And please, look into this pen."

On Saturday night, after a long day of trying not to get underfoot in a cramped control room, I watched Before the Devil Knows Your Dead. Totally overhyped. I didn't mind seeing Marisa Tomei naked, though. Is that bad? Other than that, completely linear, no suspense, and just incredibly boring. The only motivating factor to see it through to the end is to find out if it can get any worse. Yes, yes it can.

I finished out a nice day today with the Seinfeld episode, "The Understudy" with Bette Midler and one of my favorite characters, J. Peterman.
