The Secret
Because my belief is the more you put it out there, the more the universe will work for you/with you:
My ideal man: a running list of things which occur to me
1) Family comes first. Work is only temporary, home is where they love you unconditionally and value everything about you. Nothing is more important.
2) Kindness and generosity to others; not because it’s a special occasion or because he expects something in return, just because it’s who he is.
3) Integrity. He does what he says he’ll do when he says he’ll do it.
4) Sense of humor. He will see the funny side of situations and be able to relax. He will be able to laugh at himself and his mistakes.
5) Optimism. He doesn’t have to be Annie, but he does need to be able to see the good in bad situations, and to find a path of hope.
6) Hard-working. He won’t give up on relationships or projects just because the going gets tough. He will tough it out and be a man.
7) Down to Earth. He knows that he doesn’t need the best of everything because stuff is worthless. Connections, relationships, and love are what last.
8) Appreciation. He will express gratitude for what he has, who he has, and the kind things others do for him.
9) Faith. He will believe in something above and greater than himself. The details don’t matter.
10) He will love my girls as much as I do (as if they are his) and protect them.
11) Fun-loving. He will look for fun things to do rather than moping and waiting for others to entertain him. He will share interests with me but also have his own which he will be willing to teach/share.
12) Self-knowledge. He will have a firm grasp of who he is and what he wants from life; no waffling or “looking for himself”.
13) Respect. He will treat himself and others with respect, especially family members.
14) Protector. He will make me feel safe and watched over; I will be able to trust his strong arms to hold me and shelter me in difficult times.
15) He will love me mind, body, and soul and be devoted to me as I to him. I will be the undisputed love of his life.
16) Because I like the dark meat... let him be 5'7" or taller and tan to dark. :)
Of course, if Mr. Right comes along and he isn't exactly the above - I don't really care. *laughs* This is just what I'd like to find at this stage of my life.
